| Description | In October 1956, Bull St. Preparative Meeting accepted responsibility for the cost of educating a 15 year old boy in Zimbabwe (then South Rhodesia) for 5 years. David and Dorothy Garley were already living in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and were members of Bulawayo Quaker Meeting, one of three meetings in Zimbabwe at this time. Joyce Stewart, former Clerk of Bull St. Preparative Meeting went to Zimbabwe in October 1956 to become Clerk of Bulawayo Meeting. Bull St. Meeting sent financial support for the construction of a meeting house.
