DescriptionIn November 1824, due to the substantial portion of time taken up in Bull Street Preparative Meeting by the discussion of financial matters and their implementation, it was decided to establish a Committee of the Accounts which would undertake this work. The Committee, which met once a month, was appointed annually and members included Richard J. Cadbury, James Pearson, James Baker, Josiah Pumphrey, Joseph Shorthouse, Thomas Southall, William Evans, Joseph Lloyd, Samuel Lloyd Junior, P. M. James. Joseph Sturge, John Cadbury and Thomas Rickman.

The Committee was responsible for assessing applications for poor relief for men Friends in need, though any applications where assistance was likely to be permanent needed to also go via the Preparative Meeting before a weekly amount could be decided upon. It also paid the expenses incurred by the holding of public meetings, ministering Friends, guides. It was also responsible for inspecting the meeting house and premises and carrying out small repairs.
