There are two duplicate printed statements enclosed (pp. 12 - 13), entitled 'An alleged "State Grant" to a Nonconformist Church', relating the only state grant of £2000 made to a Nonconformist Church for the rebuilding of the New Meeting House, Birmingham, following the Priestley Riots of July 1791. |
