| Description | A sub-committee was appointed by the Sunday Schools Committee at a meeting of 24 January 1887 to consider all matters relating to the preparations for the centenary celebrations of the Church of the Messiah Sunday Schools the following year. The chairman of this committee was the Reverend Dr. Crosskey. The minutes include details of the various sub-committees appointed to organise the determination of applications, music and amusements, tea and refreshments, decorations, pictures and objects of interest, and other general arrangements. The festivities were scheduled for 9 and 10 October 1888. |
