TitleDraft letter to Mr Bell possibly sent by Mr Thomas Lee Junior
LevelItem
Date23/09/1791
DescriptionThis draft letter discusses the fears of people who suffered in the riots, in particular their wish to have the trials of rioters held in London rather than the counties in which the looting took place. Other topics in this letter include queries about the valuation of goods and individual case and the problems of proving ownership of meeting houses and property. These licenses might have been destroyed in the riots, without which it would be harder to claim damages for their goods. Mr Bell's presence in Birmingham is again requested, as in letter UC 2/15/9/1.
