| Description | This sub series comprises a number of handwritten sermons dating from the late seventeenth century, around the time the New Meeting House was established. It is clear that many of them were preached to other Unitarian ministers and congregations in the West Midlands and other parts of the country, and it is possible that some were written for the Dudley Double Lecture (see UC 2/13/1). Since it is unclear whether they were intended for the Dudley Lectures, and as some were written and preached by ministers of the New Meeting and Church of the Messiah, all of the sermons have been kept in their original order and catalogued as sermons of the Ministers of the New Meeting and Church of the Messiah in this sub series. |
