| Description | This series comprises a set of medium sized cash ledgers detailing general church income and expenditure, with information relating to income derived from payments by individuals and church seat holders (subscriptions, offertory, miscellaneous) and expenditure on gas, coal and water, beadle or chapel keeper, choir, Fellowship Fund, minister, and miscellaneous payments. The early volumes are similar to the Seat Rental Account books (see UC 2/6/3), and are divided into three sections according to the type of account. Each individual subscriber is given separate statements of credit and debit, detailing nature of expense, amount and any outstanding debts. The Subscription Fund lists names of subscribers and voucher number. The Communion Accounts list cash collected in church services, and amounts paid to various individuals (for example, collections for hospitals, or welfare or funerals of pauper families).
