They include correspondence relating to various donations made to the church; small diagram plan with notes for a coloured window on the east side of the church dedicated to the Bache family (no. 1); undated scale of charges for the use of Board Schools (no. 16); handwritten copy of particulars of collections made during the period 27 April 1884 - 8 February 1885 (no. 28); letter from Henry Mould, the chapel keeper, to the Vestry Committee tendering his resignation, dated 19 [December] 1890 (no. 31); small card advertisement for the People's Hall, Hurst Street, Birmingham, which was to hired for dramatic performances, concerts, public meetings and public and private soirees (no. 51); printed notice from George Bowen and Howard S. Smith, churchwardens of the Church of the Messiah, Birmingham, re closure of church building for three Sundays, 8, 15 and 22 November 1874 due to heating and ventilation works, dated 30 October 1874 (no. 52). |
