On the wall of the outhouse at the bottom left hand corner of the photograph is a poster entitled 'To protect the babies' giving instructions to families to help protect their very young children from disease. The figure can be seen in the shadows in the tunnelled courtyard entrance that suggests some of these extremely dilapidated houses may still have been occupied. |
