| Description | Photographed between 08.45 and 08.50 hours, 24 July 1959. The photograph appears to have been mounted for exhibition on boards decorated with the names of the streets depicted in the photograph. This photograph shows the majority of traffic in Smithfield Street has arrived from Sherlock Street and due to the shortage of space in this street, the queue extends back and blocks the route of traffic through to Bromsgrove Street. A certain number of vehicles can be seen parked tail on to the Meat Market in Bradford Street and Sherlock Street East. |
