AdminHistoryThe Cadbury Trusts' published their first biennial report in 1971 for internal distribution. The report was compiled by Anthony Wilson and Paul Cadbury and attempted to define the areas of work, organisational thinking and financial position of the Cadbury Trusts including the Barrow and Geraldine S. Cadbury Trust and the Barrow Cadbury Fund Ltd. The scope of these reports was soon expanded to include the Paul S. Cadbury Trust and the Worgan Trust.

The triennial report for 1977/1978 to 1979/1980 was published for public review and drew some criticism in the news media for highlighting involvement with apparently radical or left wing organisations. However, trustees and staff led by Paul Cadbury felt that greater transparency was needed in the trust and foundation sector and detailed annual reports continued to be published. Trustees hoped that other trusts and foundations would follow suit and issue their own candid annual reports.
