Funding source(s): Barrow and Geraldine S. Cadbury Trust. Applicant overview: The CFR is an ecumenical Christian community committed to peace and mission. It was begun by John and Joan Johansen-Berg during their ministry in West London. In 1986 a small residential community group moved to Barnes Close, near Birmingham, to be a resource group for the training and action of the wider community. The house can accommodate forty guests for conferences and consultations. The basis of the Community is given in the Affirmation and Pledge of Action.
