DescriptionGrant file containing correspondence, minutes, agendas, grant overview, project proposals, leaflets, annual reports and funding requests relating to the Birmingham Polytechnic Negotiated Studies in Art and Design (NSAD) programme. Funding source(s): Barrow and Geraldine S. Cadbury Trust. Applicant overview: NSAD was established by Birmingham Polytechnic to better meet the needs of students, many only just coming into contact with higher education, who do not wish to commit to a three year degree course but wish to make use of the opportunities afforded by a polytechnic in arts and design tuition. Nature of support: In 1986 the Trust agreed to offer three annual grants of £4,000 to meet the salary costs of black sessional lecturers in the programme. Only part of this grant was paid before contact with the programme was lost. Minutes: B&GSCT 6603, B&GSCT 7238. Notes: File organised from newest to oldest. File numbered 'JM/B/11/D'.
