Applicant overview: The BBDA was established for the purpose of acquiring a centre of its own with a view to providing members with, 1) a forum where business people can meet and exchange ideas on business matters, 2) a facility for members to inform each other as to the nature of their business, 3) a facility whereby common problems can be identified, and, where possible, advice provided to assist in resolution, 4) a reservoir of information resources on all matters, 5) the benefit of presenting a united front to any organisation indulging in unfair, discriminatory or restrictive business practices, and 6) the facility to lobby local or central government and any other institution when it is found to be necessary to the collective interests of the membership.
