Applicant overview: The LSCDA was established in March 1986 in an attempt to address the problems faced by the Moortown, Ardboe and Ballinderry in rural East Tyrone. LSCDA established a two-year project to initiate research into the community, support existing educational activities and to promote new ones and provide resources that can be used by groups and individuals in the district. Nature of support: In 1987 the Paul S. Cadbury Trust approved two grants of £5,000 per annum to the LSCDA. In 1988 two additional grants of £5,000 were made towards general running costs.
