Applicant overview: The DDA carries out a range of community work including a social and healthcare programme, an unemployed club, an oral history research project, an arts workshop, a redecorating/environmental improvement works team and a programme for people with various handicaps. DDA also work to find employment for two hundred and twenty people from across the sectarian divide in collaboration with a government of Northern Ireland employment scheme. Nature of support: In 1986 the Fund approved two annual grants of £6,000 per annum. In 1987 a single grant of £6,800 was set aside for the purchase of desktop publishing equipment.
