Applicant overview: The AAP was established in 1973 with the support of the American Council of Churches to bring children together in Belfast regardless of religion and political affiliation. The AAP organises a variety of trips and events for children inside and outside of Belfast. Nature of support: In 1987 the Paul S. Cadbury Trust agreed to a grant of £3,000 for the refurbishment of AAP office premises. In 1988 Paul S. Cadbury Trustees agreed to two annual grants of £2,500 to employ a full-time project worker. In 1989 annual grants were renewed for three years at £2,000 per annum before being transferred to the Barrow and Geraldine S. Cadbury Trust.
