Applicant overview: The Centre project was established in October 1990 following a series of informal meetings at the homes of local women concerned with the lack of women centred facilities in the district of North Down on the outskirts of Belfast. The aims of the Centre are to provide opportunities for women, help raise women's confidence and self-esteem, provide skills training and act as a resource for other women and groups in the area.
