The project aims to, 1) undertake a thorough research of community action in Nottingham since the Second World War, this will include community action at many levels, from individual and street/neighbourhood informal action to highly organised voluntary groups, 2) trace the long-term, as well as short term, impact upon community action of intervention by large scale institutions, 3) donate primary source material collected and collated to Nottinghamshire County Library Local Studies Section and Nottinghamshire Record Office, and 4) publish the study. Nature of support: In 1992 the Fund offered a personal grant to Ruth Johns of £5,000 for two years to support the project.
