Applicant overview: In 1995 a researcher at Manchester Metropolitan University requested support for a project to highlight the incongruities between immigration policy and social welfare policy for children in Britain. The dissemination programme will ensure wide impact in the immigration and asylum field as well as social welfare provision for children. Nature of support: In 1995 Relevant Trustees of the Civil Rights Programme recommended the Trust offer two annual grants of £15,500 towards the research proposal.
