Applicant overview: TOG was established as a major organisation working to build cross-community development in County Tyrone. The Group provides social and recreational support to the region including a Youth Sport programme. Nature of support: In 1994 the Fund agreed to two annual grants of £5,000 towards the salary of a development officer. In 1995 on the advice of Northern Ireland Programme Relevant Trustees the Fund approved a single grant of £8,500 towards the planning costs of a new resource centre. In 1996 support for a development worker was continued for three years at £12,000 per annum. That same year two annual grants of £20,000 were allocated to TOG to free up matching funds from the International Fund for Ireland. In 1997 the Trust agreed to support the costs of the TOG centre at £10,000 for 1996/1997 and up to two further years at £20,000 per annum. This further support was confirmed in 1998 plus three further salary grants of £15,000. In 1999 outstanding grants to support the costs of premises were rescinded by the Trust and reset at £20,000 per annum for one year paid through the Fund. In 2001 the Trust approved three further staff grants at £15,000 per annum. This grant was rescinded in 2002. In 2003 the Trust approved an additional grant of £3,000.
