Applicant overview: The Network was established with the aim of assisting and empowering black community organisations in Birmingham by, organising fundraising workshops, organising direct meetings between community organisations and funding organisations, establishing networks among community groups, and campaigning for fair resources for the black communities in Birmingham, these resources to include finance, premises for operation of equipment etc. Nature of support: In 1996 the Trust approved a single grant of £5,000 towards the development of the Network. That same year three annual grants of £20,000 were approved towards the salary costs of a development worker. In 1999 the outstanding balance of the grant was rescinded.
