Applicant overview: The Pukaar Foundation is a grant giving charitable trust which distributes donations primarily from the Asian business community, individuals and corporate sector for the benefit of people in Yorkshire whatever their colour, race or creed. The Foundation became a registered charity in 1996 and is based in Bradford. The Foundation supports community work with a focus on services for elderly people, organisations which improve local amenities, services for young people, health services and advice, community arts and leisure facilities, support services for people who are unemployed or are seeking work, training and employment opportunities, support for young people and community based social and economic development. Nature of support: In 1998 the Trust approved a single salary grant of £10,000 to the Foundation towards the salary costs of a development manager's post.
