Applicant overview: YSO is a cross community organisation formed by a group of local sports coaches to help provide more training, coaching and playing facilities for young people participating in field sports throughout the Omagh area. The group emerged in response to the lack of local playing facilities and the low sporting profile for Omagh youth. YSO was launched in 1995. Nature of support: In 1997 the Trust agreed to offer two grants of up to £20,000 per annum to YSO. In 1999 this grant was rescinded and payments transferred to the Fund.
