Applicant overview: The Fermanagh Trust was formally constituted in September 1995 as a private charitable trust to promote any charitable purpose and to support initiatives which would lead to social and community development in the county and hinterlands of Fermanagh. During this period the Trust provided over £400,000 in grants to approximately three-hundred different groups. In addition to making grants, the Trust is also involved in voluntary and community research and sector strategic development within the county, establishing the Fermanagh Foundation, forging linkages between the county and external organisations and individuals, including former American President Bill Clinton, providing an information, advice and support service for local community groups, training and development workshops, informing policy development and using information communication technology to promote community regeneration and peace building.
