Applicant overview: In 1986 Professor John Simpson of the Ford Foundation Research Project based at the University of Southampton requested a grant towards a major undertaking to set-up a networking operation and monitoring group to enhance the prospects for a successful non-proliferation treaty review conference in 1990 and extension conference in 1995.
