COSAWR functions as a self-help group raising the issue of militarism and war resistance in South Africa, providing assistance to refugees and public information and research activities. Nature of support: In 1990 COSAWR elected to wind up its activities. Part of its final public relations push was the return of twenty to thirty resisters to South Africa.
