These include the Student Peace Project (SPS) which encourages students to include a peace dimension in their theses, Nuclear Free Pacific (NFP), later Women Working for a Nuclear-Free and Independent Pacific (WWNFIP), which opposes the testing or deployment of nuclear weapons in the Pacific and supports the independence and self-government of Pacific states against the geo-political ambitions of world superpowers, the Switzerland Yearly Meeting for work relating to conscientious objection, the Peace Tax Campaign, Selly Oak Peace Council (SOPC), a local community organisation that campaigns jointly with other peace groups for nuclear disarmament and a number of other projects and seminars. Nature of support: In 1984 a small travel grant was made by the Trust toward a seminar entitled 'Towards a Theology of Peace' in Budapest. In 1986 the Fund made a single £500 grant to NFP. That same year £500 was allocated to the Switzerland Yearly Meeting through Quaker Peace and Service. A grant of £950 was also made toward a symposium entitled 'Whither the Peace Movement?' A single grant of £100 was made by the Fund to SOPC in 1986. Several other grant applications were rejected.
