Applicant overview: The Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) was established in 1957 with the objectives of 1) eliminating British nuclear weapons, 2) the abolition of weapons of mass destruction, 3) a less militarised Europe, and 4) ending nuclear power as an energy source. Nature of support: In 1989 the Trust approved two annual grants of £15,000 to the CND. These grants were made to support educational activities. Part of the final grant was rescinded.
