ORG is a leading independent think-tank that has been influential in pioneering the idea of sustainable approaches to security as an alternative to violent global confrontation, through original research, wide-ranging dialogue, and practical policy recommendations. The Groups' Project for Public Participation to Affect the Nuclear Decision Making Process aims to empower ordinary people who are concerned about nuclear weapons escalation to communicate with those who make key decisions on nuclear weapons. Nature of support: In 1983 the Trust approved a single grant of £2,377 to ORG. In 1984 the Trust agreed to a single grant of £9,000 towards the first stage of the public participation project.
