Applicant overview: The MPI is an independent, nonpartisan, non-profit think tank based in Washington DC with extensive contacts globally and a presence in Europe. MPI is dedicated to the analysis of the movement of people worldwide and provides analysis, development and evaluation of refugee policies at the local, national and international level. The UK-North American Policy Dialogue was proposed as a fact finding mission to, 1) inform Barrow Cadbury work by visiting cities on the other side of the Atlantic, where practice could hold lessons for the UK, and 2) develop a series of activities with prestigious American actors as an opportunity for intense engagement with key UK policy makers. Nature of support: In 2007 the Fund approved a grant of £57,000 to deliver a UK-North American Policy Dialogue tour. Minutes: F07/08-14.
