Through its programmes in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Ghana and Tanzania, it has developed into an influential international campaigning organisation in its field, advising international bodies (including the UN and the Department for International Development) and supporting a generation of young female activists and campaigners. WAITS is a Birmingham based women's charity. It aims to support and shape women's organisations by supporting women to establish community based groups and projects, through workshops delivered in local communities, women only courses at a local further education college and brokering meetings with authorities in charge of promoting civil regeneration.
