Funding source(s): Barrow Cadbury Trust. Applicant overview: RMS was established as Wolverhampton Asylum Seeker and Refugee Services (WARS). WARS adopted its new name, RMS, in 2008. RMS originated as a project of the TLC Language Centre in Wolverhampton in 1999 in response to the reception and resettlement needs of the large numbers of asylum seekers and refugees who were dispersed in the area at a time when support services were limited. RMS became an independent organisation in 2003 and provides free and confidential advice to all asylum seekers and refugees in the Wolverhampton and surrounding areas on issues relating to reception, integration and voluntary return to countries of origin for those who wish this.
