Applicant overview: WFS is a non-political, non-profit voluntary organisation initiated informally in 1999 based on the initiative of Sudanese community members in the UK. The WFS mission is to support and promote the quality of life of Sudanese refugees and asylum seekers in the UK and those living in neighbouring countries of Sudan. Specifically WFS works to, 1) works to relieve sickness, poverty and discrimination, 2) to improve access to mainstream services and enhance the opportunities available to its members, 3) promote the development of refugee communities and displaced persons, and 4) work for the advancement of education of refugees from the horn of Africa and their dependents in the UK and Africa.
