Applicant overview: The Bangladesh Centre was established in 1980 out of the Bangladesh Workers Association (BWA), which itself emerged as part of the Indian Workers Association (IWA). In 1983 the Centre became a registered charity. It aims to promote the advancement of education and good citizenship amongst the people of Bangladesh ethnic origin living in the environs of the Centre. Nature of support: In 1988 the Trust agreed to increase an earlier salary grant offer by £1,000 per annum for three years.
