Applicant overview: In 1985 the Commonwealth Institute formed a committee to agree to a series of programmes, education and social events relating to the Caribbean community. Events include permanent galleries, an art gallery, performing arts, film and television projects as well as conferences and educational activities. Nature of support: On the recommendation of Minority Arts Programme Trustees in 1986 the Trust agreed to a single grant of £2,000 to support the launch of Caribbean Focus 86 and the initial promotion of the programme of events.
