Applicant overview: DWICA became a registered charity in 1975 as one of the first black self-help organisations in Dudley. DWICA aims to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare and recreation with the object of improving the lives of individuals in Dudley. Nature of support: In 1978 the Trust approved a grant of up to £2,250 for the support of sessional payments to teachers at the DWICA Saturday School. In 1985 a grant of £1,000 was made to DWICA. A further £1,000 grant was made to the Saturday School in 1986. That same year the Paul S. Cadbury Trust accepted the transfer of payment for the 1986 grant from the Barrow and Geraldine S.
