It operates a telephone service, Release, for black people in trouble and opposes improper police behaviour against black people. TRJ also operates a newspaper, 'Race Today'. TRJ runs a public information and campaigning programme and also works on other publications on racial justice. Nature of support: The Trust made a bridging loan of £3,000 to TRJ in 1975. In 1976 the Fund made a further loan of £5,000. In 1977 the Fund made a single grant of £7,000 to support the publishing of 'Race Today'. In 1978 a further £6,000 was allocated to TRJ by the Fund. A number of grants were also made to the Notting Hill Carnival Development Committee that shares officers with TRJ.
