Applicant overview: Wolverhampton RAFT is a Manpower Services Commission (MSC) Community Programme Scheme sponsored by Trades Council Employment and Training Project (TCETP) that was established in 1983. RAFT aims to provide useful information to young mothers relating to preparing for childbirth, parenthood, safety, shopping and leisure facilities, support services and other resources relevant to their needs. Nature of support: In 1984 the Trust approved a grant of up to £3,000 towards the publishing costs of a booklet of advice for young mothers in Asian languages.
