Applicant overview: JCWI was established in 1967 to campaign for justice in immigration, nationality and refugee law policy. In addition to providing advice to those affected by immigration issues, the JWCI also carries out public information work and coordinates the efforts of voluntary sector organisations in immigration, nationality and refugee matters. Nature of support: In 1984 Southfield Trustees recommended an annual grant of £6,000 to the JCWI Prisons Unit. In 1985 the Trust approved a grant of £800 towards an enquiry into immigration law and individual entitlements to services. In 1986 a travel grant of £1,500 was made for an overseas trip to Bangladesh related to excluded immigrant families.
