Funding source(s): Barrow and Geraldine S. Cadbury Trust, Barrow Cadbury Fund Ltd. Applicant overview: This file contains applications from a number of organisations falling under the race relations portfolio. Applicants include the Joint Committee Against Racism (JCAR) that was established in 1978 to combat racism in the UK, the Caribbean Pastoral Service (CPS), which provides after-care services for young black people in London, the Foundations Forum Race Relations Group, the British Council of Churches (BCC) and others. Nature of support: In 1982 the Trust approved a single grant of £250 to the CPS. In 1985 the Trust agreed to make a grant of up to £3,000 to the BCC for its audio-visual programme on black settlers in Britain. A number of small travel grants were also approved by the Fund.
