The objectives of the Council are to promote the welfare of the young in any matter which now is or hereafter may be deemed by law to be charitable within the area of Walsall, and further, shall promote the social, physical, recreational, moral, intellectual and spiritual well being of its members. Specific areas of operation include education, young people and housing and welfare. Nature of support: In 1984 the Trust agreed to between two and four years support to increase existing salaries at ACYC. In 1986 payments were transferred to the Paul S. Cadbury Trust. That same year Minority Arts Programme Trustees recommended a grant of up to £3,000 for Caribbean Focus Year events including some tied to the ACYC.
