Applicant overview: The CPS was created by the WMA in 1985 with the aims of, 1) extending participation in the arts to people who have previously had few such opportunities, 2) enabling artists and community groups to work together to create original work expressing the values, ideas and opinions of the people involved, and, 3) developing create or critical skills of practical relevance to groups involved in community education of community action.
