LevelFile
Date2008 - 2010
DescriptionGrant file containing correspondence, agendas, file sheet, reports, file notes, financial papers, constitution, general information and due diligence form and project proposal relating to the Muslim Youth Helpline (MYH), London. Funding source(s): Barrow Cadbury Trust. Applicant overview: MYH was founded in 2001 as a youth initiative to respond to the social problems affecting young Muslims. The absence of effective community support schemes and the apathy amongst the wider community in dealing with rising levels of social exclusion, mental health problems, abuse and criminal activity led to the creation of an anonymous helpline service putting young people at the frontline of service provision. MYH provides faith and culturally sensitive support services to young Muslims 16 to 25 years of age. Nature of support: In 2008 the Trust agreed to a grant of £30,000 to the MYH for an outreach and advocacy project based on the dissemination of the Reelhood series of films. Minutes: T08/09-34. Notes: Copy minutes are not included though minutes are referenced in the file sheet. File organised by subject. File not numbered.
