DescriptionGrant file containing correspondence, file sheets, financial papers, project proposal and grant terms and conditions relating to Youth Support Services (YSS). Funding source(s): Barrow Cadbury Trust. Applicant overview: YSS is an independent charity with over two decades of experience of providing community based support services for children, young people, adults and families who are vulnerable, have complex needs and who face difficult life challenges. YSS became a registered charity in 2000. YSS aims to work alongside young people, adults, families and partner agencies to ensure they can develop and reach their potential. This is accomplished by providing mentoring services, advocacy, self-esteem building, personal development programmes, skills and knowledge development to help people navigate their way through challenging times in their lives. YSS then undertakes awareness raising of the issues identified, makes referrals to partner agencies and lobbies for change. Nature of support: In 2007 the Trust approved a grant of £7,850 for a feasibility study for a Lost in Translation Transition to Adulthood (T2A) pilot in the West Mercia sub-region. Minutes: TM07/08-5. Notes: Copy minutes are not included though minutes are referenced in the file sheet. File organised by subject. File not numbered.
