Funding source(s): Paul S. Cadbury Trust. Applicant overview: The CDF is a national community development agency funded by the Home Office. The CDF aims to develop the capacity and skills of members of socially and economically disadvantaged communities in such a way as to be better able to identify and help meet their needs and participate more fully in society and particular by, 1) local action projects, 2) development of best practice, 3) research and development, 4) making grants and loans to such communities, 5) consultancies and training programmes, 6) conferences and seminars, and 7) information and publications. Nature of support: In 1988 the Paul S. Cadbury Trust approved £2,000 for a project feasibility study. In 1990 a single grant of £2,000 was made towards the CDF West Midlands.
