CF became Community Forum (Birmingham) Ltd. in 1983 to, 1) represent the common interests and concerns of residents' and tenants' associations and other similar organisations operating within the city, 2) liaise with Birmingham City Council and other bodies responsible for policies and programmes that affect community organisations, 3) aid the work of individual community organisations by providing information, advice and guidance on matters that concern them, 4) promote a continuing exchange of skills, information and experience between community organisations, and, 5) co-operate with other organisations that have similar aims and objectives. Nature of support: In 1986 the Fund approved three annual grants of £10,000 to the CF. In 1990 the Fund offered a single grant of £3,000 to CF toward running costs.
