Applicant overview: The Alcoholics Rehabilitation Research Group (ARRG) was originally created for a feasibility study by the Psychology Department at Birmingham University to look into the behaviour of chronic drunks. Nature of support: The Trust and Fund supported aspects of the project including the initial feasibility study at a cost of £15,000 though were hesitant to support a proposal to create hostels in Birmingham for alcoholics as the next stage of the project.
