Applicant overview: The Birmingham Actors Centre was created to improve the professional image of artists in the West Midlands and facilitate communication and interaction between actors in the West Midlands. Weekly meetings of the group are scheduled to be held at the Midlands Art Centre. Adeoti/Positive Image was created in Handsworth by community members interested in learning more about Afro-Caribbean culture. The organisation aims to 1) provide a service for mothers who have a positive aim to establish a career, 2) provide for child care and other services related to black awareness, and 3) offer training to staff and parents with the intention of furthering their education and careers.
