The aim of the organisation is to show through music, dance and drama the cultural richness that exists within the, largely Afro-Caribbean community. In order to meet this goal the EHYCA holds annual festivals/carnivals with a programme of arts events for the community. Nature of support: In 1984 the Minority Arts Programme approved a grant of £140 towards the cost of the 'Harmony Through Participation Project' carnival. Later that year a grant of £3,000 was made to the EHYCA in the hope of releasing Manpower Services Commission and Urban Aid funding.
